Grandmother Spider Brings the Light

                                     

Synopsis:

When Raven comes to the animals, he tell them about a lake of fire. Possum tries to bring it back, but loses the fur on his tail, buzzard tries and loses his feather headdress. Grandmother Spider – the smallest, oldest, and slowest of all brings the fire by first making a clay pot. She brings the fire back in the pot and put some of the sparks in trees and rocks to make new fires. Then she takes 2 coals and throws them in the sky for the sun and moon. The sparks become the stars. She threw a web around the world and regulates day and night and the seasons of the year.
