1960 - 2010 50th AND ReunionReview, Pictures, and Power Point submitted by Pat Enright Baeske
Eighty-seven Classmates were in attendance at our reunion, June 5 at the Shrine (ladies only) with a buffet dinner, and we had a Sunday lunch buffet event with spouses at my house June 6.
Notre Dame Nonsense (Class of 1961) did a skit for us about our high school days -- it was hilarious. As previously promised, I sent you the PowerPoint (silent, no voice) we ran looped simultaneously on two large screens during our reunion, which had been prepared by Ann O'Leary Smith. Actually there were 2 separate PowerPoints -- one that was strictly about our 20 deceased classmates. A few minutes of silence were observed as Ann O'Leary Smith read the names and the deceased classmate's picture came up on the screens. We gave each attendee at the reunion, a reunion booklet that contained the high school picture of the individual beside the current contact info, a short current bio, and a copy of each previous reunion group picture. Classmates had been asked to send in recipes and Kathleen Hamilton prepared a special reunion cookbook for each attendee. Each attendee also received a tote bag with an etching of our school and school name -- donated by Margie Klich Price and Pat Enright Baeske.BTW, we were in contact with and had current info on all but 2 classmates out of our entire class! We think that's pretty good for 50 years later.Table centerpieces were donated by Suzanne Drummond Richardson.
A 50th group photo was taken and will be mailed soon to each attendee and any other classmate who ordered the picture. A DVD will be mailed with the picture to each attendee and will include digital copies of the reunion booklet and cookbook, video of the Notre Dame Nonsense skit, the PowerPoint, and copies of all of the digital snapshot pictures classmates took at the reunion and mailed to me. We have received the photo proof from the photographer, so our reunion committee is meeting Monday to put names to each of the individuals in the group photo before mailing it and the DVD to our classmates who attended or separately ordered it.
