Peggy Jane Weiss, 65, of Falls Church, Virginia, died Sunday,
July 15, 2012 at her home after a long and courageous battle
with Lupus. A native of Belleville, Illinois, she later moved
to Titusville, Florida and then Annandale, Virginia,
graduating with honors from both Rollins College and the
University of Virginia, receiving her Masters Degree in
Educational Psychology.
Without a doubt, her passion was education and she devoted her
life to teaching as an elementary school teacher and tutor.
She was also a devout member of the John Calvin Presbyterian
Church. The faith and support by members of the congregation
provided her much strength and the conviction to fight her
illness.
She is survived by her estranged brother, Robert Neff; two
sons, Jeffrey S. Weiss of San Diego, CA and Brian D. Weiss of
Kailua, HI; five grandchildren, Lilianne, Samantha, Addison,
Jasper and Ethan.
Memorial Service will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 24,
2012 at John Calvin Presbyterian Church, Annandale, VA. A
committal ceremony will follow at the John Calvin Memorial
Garden.
In place of flowers or gifts, memorial contributions may be
made to the Lupus Foundation of Greater Washington, 6120
Brandon Ave., Suite 315, Springfield, VA 22150.
