Class of 1958
Today my sister, Carol (Neff) Myers, sent me a connection to your website and I loved reading about your memories of the Academy of Notre Dame. I graduated from Notre Dame in 1958 (Yes, long, long ago!) I too have such fond memories of my days at the Academy. I so look forward to reading your stores and I want to thank you for sharing it with me. I found your stories and your style of writing so enjoyable that I printed some of them up. Later I can climb into my Lazyboy chair and relax as I fill my mind with my own memories that will once again come alive for me as I read your stories. In reading some of the names of your classmates, I saw very familiar family names; I probably went to school with some of their older sisters. Ah the memories…..white uniform cuffs, pantalooned gym suit, the chapel, the grotto, the dear nuns! On the day that my husband, Steve, and I were married, we stopped by to see the nuns who taught me at the Academy and had a picture taken of our wedding party in front of the grotto and one with all of the nuns. Yes, they had made a difference in my life and I am so thankful for their dedication and the impact that they made on me.
