Interview with Connie Gass Kinsella
Favorite teacher and subject: Sr. Reparana taught Math which was my favorite subject. I always had my homework done early and could sink down in my desk and read. She had a good sense of humor and was a bit sarcastic.
There were boarders there at that time - about 30 % stayed on campus.
The biggest thing that was going on outside of the walls of Notre Dame was the Great Depression.
I also remember participating in speech contests.
I was class president in my Freshman, Junior and Senior year. I skipped my Sophomore year.
I was pretty much the goody-goody girl but at the prom held at the St. Clair Country Club, I slipped out to the car and had sip of liquor.
I was pretty bashful in high school, and I remember being reprimanded for wearing brown shoes!
